If you’re reading this I’m guessing you want to be a successful StartUp Lady when you take the plunge or maybe you feel stuck having already taken the plunge. There is absolutely no way you are going to be successful on a long term basis if you don’t possess Passion, Purpose and the Power of Persistence in regards to the services you provide or the product you sell.

I just finished reading Liz Pabon’s book entitled The MavHERick Mind - How To Win The Battle For Success By Using What You’ve Got To Get What You Want. I was so impressed with the book that I wanted to share a review with all of the StartUp Ladies subscribers. I believe it is a perfect resource for those of us in the beginning stages of being women entrepreneurs and should be added to your POP (Power of Persistence) arsenal.

First, how I became aware of this powerful and moving book. Liz Pabon spoke at a Reno eWomen Dinner last summer and I knew I liked her style. She is an eWomen member in California and has rightly tagged herself as The Branding Maven. I subscribed to her newsletter and now she even has a MavHERick Mind Blog. I couldn’t wait for her book to be ready for purchase as I was so much enjoying receiving her newsletter. I think I would have bought the book just for the cover design - I just feel full of power looking at the darn cover!

In The MavHERick Mind Liz begins by discussing how the battle is in our mind and strategies for understanding the limiting roles we play and helps us don the right gear for our battle to be successful. She discusses strategies for getting to know your strongest ally - YOU. Liz covers the tactics to connect with your inner power, stand in that power and to bulletproof yourself. And ends the journey with how to win without fighting. I have read some of this information in other books; but, none that puts it forth in the way that Liz has done.

As I said, I absolutely love her style and she has written this book from a woman’s point of view and life experiences for other women entrepreneurs. That is what makes this book stand out from all the rest. I have not read an Entrepreneur/Success book written specifically for how women think and operate. I recommend The MavHERick Mind enthusiastically to my fellow StartUp Ladies.
